She was coach of the women’s national team of the USSR for 22 years (from 1962 to 1984), during which time the team won every competition. (USSR boycotted the tournament in 1979) and European championships in 1962, 1964, 1966, 1968, 1970, 1972, 1974, 1976, 1978, 1980, 1981 and 1983.

Elena (Alena) Igorevna Kirillov (Danilochkina) is a Russian professional basketball player serving the Russian basketball championship for BC Nadezhda (Orenburg) and the player of the national team of Russia.
